Cllrs Martyn Booth and Nigel Bennett both visited the launch of the opening of the Tesco underpass in Sudbury which had suffered from graffitti and nuisance behaviour. A partnership of the Police, Babergh District Council, Town Council and other agencies financed the project where over 50 local youngsters worked with professional artists to design and paint the underpass. The youngsters included those who had offended in the area and will hopefully help to stop such anti social offences re-occurring.

"This is an excellent scheme that works with our young people and which is creative and innovative. It shows the skills out there. It also helps to brighten up what was an awfully drab area." said Cllr Nigel Bennett
