As postal voting begins it is time to end the gaslighting of Suffolk voters

Postal vote

For most of its life Suffolk County Council has been under Tory control. Around 60% of the current council are Conservatives and they have grown complacent without serious challenge.

As a consequence council performance has stagnated and is ranked amongst the poorest in the UK in areas such as highway maintenance and Special needs education.

Excuses are made and lack of funding cited despite the same council finding £49000 of our money to fund a campaign advocating a single unitary council for Suffolk in the face of overwhelming public dislike of the idea.

It is time to stop the gaslighting of Suffolk voters into accepting that poor services are in sone way inevitable.

By electing many more Liberal Democrat councillors we can implement policies which are effective and have been successful elsewhere.

WE DO NOT NEED TO ACCEPT A POSITION TOWARDS THE BOTTOM OF PERFORMANCE LEAGUE TABLES

For many the temptation is to vote for Reform but will things really change?

A number of their candidates are Tories who have jumped ship given the unpopularity of their previous party. Most of their literature is posted centrally and focusses on national issues and evidence from councils they already run is they have failed to find all the promised waste but have been good at falling out with their colleagues spreading uncertainty at a time local government needs stability and a laser like focus on delivery

We have proven elsewhere that a vote for the Liberal Democrats sees greater local involvement in setting priorities and delivering real improvements to services

VOTE LIB DEM ON 7 MAY!
