Protect Our Villages From the Brockley Wood Quarry

The campaign in Copdock and Washbrook to elect a replacement for Liberal Democrat councillor Dave Busby following his recent death is now well underway.

One of the issues that comes up regularly on the door-steps is the decision of the Conservative run Suffolk County Council to approve Brockley Wood Quarry  despite overwhelming local opposition

This was a proposal that Dave opposed to the very end and it is one that Mark Hurley, our candidate to replace Dave is determined  to show the strength of our community and push for proper protections and oversight.

To show the continuing opposition of the local community he has started a petition which will be part of the campaign to ensure that the quarry’s noise, dust, traffic, and safety risks are fully monitored and properly mitigated, so that our villages are protected from harm.
