Why you should vote Lib Dem on 7 May
With the bank holiday weekend now beginning to recede gently in the rear view mirror the campaign for Thursdays elections is almost over.
With old political loyalties breaking down like never before you may still to decide on who you should vote for.
Here are three reasons why we think you should vote Liberal Democrat on Thursday
1 OUR POLICIES
Unlike other parties who have campaigned on issues such as Gaza and immigration which frankly local councillors can do little about our campaign has been razor focused on the issues that we have been told on the doorstep matter most to voters
- Sorting out the potholes that make our roads more and more like a third world country
- Education particular provision of Special needs education and the prospects for young adults
- The environment both re-cycling and improving the shocking state of our waterways
- Responsible future development with infrastructure
Not a long list but one Lib Dem councils up and down the country are addressing with success. There is no reason Suffolk should accept second rate services. We CAN DO better
2 OUR CANDIDATES
In South Suffolk we have selected a set of candidates with great experience in commercial business and public service . They are not wildly ideological but are motivated by a desire to improve the communities in which they live. Reform have had to disown candidates for racist social media posts whilst the Greens have seen candidates arrested for antisemitism. That is not who we are
3 OUR PARTY
For the past seven years the number of Liberal Democrat councillors has grown after every electoral cycle. In By-elections over the past 12 months we have won and gained more seats than any party other than Reform. This doesn't happen by accident. Once voters see Liberal Democrats in action they like what they get and vote for more each time. They like the fact we are community champions . In Ed Davey we have a leader who is caring and decent. He doesn't accept secret £5m gifts from off-shore billionaires nor does he find it necessary to apologise to the Met Police commissioner for social media posts complaining of police brutality
So whether you have voted for us in the past or not for councillors who will work tirelessly for your community VOTE LIBERAL DEMOCRAT ON 7 MAY
